Power diodes are a group of diodes that are distinguished by high values of reverse voltage (from 50 V to 5 kV) and forward current (from 10 A to 5 kA). As a rule, they operate in industrial networks with a frequency of 50 (60) Hz. The voltage drop across the diodes of this group is 2.5-3 V. The massive semiconductor structure of the power diodes impairs their performance. Therefore, the reverse recovery time of diodes is usually in the range of 25-100 μs, as a result of which, it limits their use in circuits with a frequency above 1 kHz
Main technical parameters of B10-8: Produced in a metal-glass case with a flexible lead. Average forward current – 10 A.Repetitive impulse reverse voltage – 800 V.Natural air cooling.
